A number of packages exist for the objective
measurement of image attributes. Norman Koren of Imatest has
been particularly innovative in integrating vision based metrics
such as Subjective Quality Factor into the analysis software.
Imatest - Software to evaluate the
performance of cameras, lenses, scanners, and printers
DxO - Software to evaluate the performance of cameras and
lenses.
QEA - Hardware
and software primarily directed toward the evaluation of printer
performance.
